Summary

More
Llama Llama just can't get out of bed. It's his first day of school, and he's not too happy about it. Still, he trudges along and makes his bed, brushes his teeth, and eats his breakfast.

But once he arrives at his classroom—with so many new faces, new names, and new games—little Llama doesn't know what to do. And when Mama Llama leaves, the little guy feels even more shy and alone. What will this lonely llama do? Will Mama ever return?

This gentle story is a just-right book for any child who is dealing—or has dealt—with separation anxiety.

About this Series

Focusing on everyday dilemmas familiar to preschoolers (and their parents), the stories in this series have a comforting way of finding gentle resolutions.

Llama Llama is a thoughtful, sensitive little guy who doesn't always know how to share, shop, or go to sleep without a fuss. Luckily, he's got a reassuring mama who's always there to support and help guide him. Whether he's melting down at the supermarket or worrying about his first day of school, Mama shows Llama Llama that patience, love, and understanding make any situation better.

With paint-on-canvas illustrations and perfectly paced rhymes, this series speaks to the charm and challenges of the preschool years.
